A Charming Cotswolds Tipi Wedding

Meet our couple, Louise, a primary school teacher, and Matthew, who's a head of project management. They were married around 4 August 2018 inside a ceremony at their local church, then a reception celebration at Horley.

The couple first met via a mutual friend at a birthday barbecue and bouncy castle party (a state that quickly, I dare you!) in August 2010, and became engaged at the top of the Rockefeller Centre in New York City in May 2016.

"We were built with a Bible reading, which we allowed Matthew's stepfather to select because he was the individual reading it, and like a church, goer felt he'd choose something meaningful and appropriate. We also chose an that was read by Louise's stepmother – chosen mainly for that beautiful words and sentiment there."

"We then arrange it in a corner from the venue, together with vast amounts of dressing gear my mum and pa accumulated through the years. It was an excellent hit, and I loved witnessing my best friends dressing as angry birds, wearing a crown and palm tree glasses, whilst attempting to play the drums with these personalized drum sticks."

"We cannot pick only one favorite part of the wedding. It was honestly this kind of incredible day and went by in a flash. Some of our highlights were walking on the aisle, the meals, creating the photos using smoke bombs, our first dance, dancing the nighttime away with this family and friends, and my buddy running around the venue putting glitter on everyone's faces. A Dog-Friendly North Wales Wedding

Secondary school teacher Fi, and Nath, a bar supervisor, were married on 27 October 2018 at a heritage site and art project around the edge of Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.

"I had previously been built with a bad experience in a bridal boutique that left me unsure if I even wanted a marriage dress. I was forced into dresses that were too small, unflattering, and beyond what I had envisioned. I resolved to become led in what I desired to wear, whether or not it was bridal or otherwise."

"I originally imagined a brief dress, however when my psoriasis flared throughout my legs, I extended my search. I found the gown on Pinterest and sought it. I felt just like a Hollywood starlet within the dress; it hugged every curve and felt glamorous enough to forgo another accessory."

The aisle from the lovely old church was lined with garlands and vases of flowers, and Fi's bridesmaid made her way down first, wearing a beautifully draped dark teal dress, and shoes.

An Elegant Summer Destination Wedding in Italy

This may be the wedding celebration of Cecile and Mark, who has been married around the 4 August inside a church ceremony in Arona, Lake Maggiore, Italy, then a reception in the majestic. "Matteo would be a real superstar. He met us in London to have an engagement photo shoot a couple of months before the marriage, and even though I usually hate pictures, Mark and I were immediately put comfortably. We then stayed in contact by email."

"His photos, both on the engagement and also on the wedding day, are stunning and truly reflect the atmosphere of your day. I could not recommend him more. If you are looking for some talented and easy-going photographer, don't hesitate, he's your man!"

The bridesmaids chose pale blush, pastel pink, and coral dresses and, that they wore using their shoes, fresh flowers in their hair, and earrings.

"My dad walked me on the aisle, or to become completely honest, I walked my dad on the aisle! It was probably the most stressful moment for me personally, and I did walk extremely fast!"

Cecile and Mark first met soon after high school through mutual friends, whilst both on vacation in Brittany.

"We were built with a mini holiday romance during those couple of days, and both went back to their lives when the holiday was over. We didn't stay in touch at the time. Years later, I went to live in Paris to study, and we met again through the same number of friends."

Walled Garden Autumn Wedding Romance

"I was approached by Lorien, who inquired if I would help her to plan and elegance a shoot that they had in her mind. I love Lorien's work so when I saw the atmosphere board she had created I knew it was something I was keen to obtain involved in. As soon as I saw the atmosphere board, I realized that needed to photograph the shoot. Emily's light and airy type of photographs are ideal for the style we have been on mind."

"When I visited visit the venue – at Beeston Fields – to speak to them concerning the possibility of holding the shoot there, I knew it might be perfect for what we been on mind. The gardens are beautiful because of so many hidden corners which makes it the perfect backdrop for that gorgeous images."

"The dress would have been a focal point along with a priority for all of us both. We were keen to possess some subtle color within the dress and lots of tulles. The four-layered full circle skirt includes a peachy tone that complemented the autumnal colors. Coupled with the long-sleeved lace bodice, it's an incredible choice for an autumn wedding dresses."

Heidi from Extra Special Touch provided the soft cotton napkins which draped beautifully on the tables. The couple's monogram was embroidered in the copper thread to tie in using the overall theme."

"I knew that I desired to include silk table runners to create softness towards the table setting. I knew it would be a big ask as I needed three long runners so I was ecstatic when Corette from C Fleurs Design decided to supply them."

"The color was perfect plus they looked fantastic from the white tables. I then completed the appearance with my copper candlesticks and lots of small flower vases from Frances and Rose."

"One from the big stuff that we desired to achieve but were worried it might be too much to inquire about was over table lighting. An English Country Garden Wedding in the Family Home

Shelley, who works in compliance, and Tom, who's a sugar trader, celebrated their marriage around 18 August within an outdoor ceremony at Tom's home in Meopham, Kent, then a relaxed marquee reception.

Shelley's backless dress, using its soft, light tulle skirt and stylish camisole style top was made for her in Bangkok, based on a design she discovered that she liked.

"I wanted something simple, and more importantly comfortable, but I also couldn't determine if I wanted a puffy 'I'm married!' dress, or something like that a little bit more figure-hugging. So, I went for that detachable skirt option, so I had the best of all possible worlds."

Going in front of Shelley on the grassy aisle were the sweetest little flower girls wearing tulle pastel dresses produced by FeelTimes.

"My dad and my buddy accompanied me on the aisle to Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles. My dad is inside a wheelchair and thus my buddy kindly pushed him – it had been lovely having my buddy there too!"

Here, Tom was waiting, wearing a handsome, classic morning suit in deep blue, having a pale blue waistcoat and polka dot tie, that they had custom-produced in Bangkok.

"We're among those on-and-off couples that got there within the end! We met last year, dated off and on, then both moved countries between, after which ended up in Singapore together and becoming engaged 8 years later."

"Our celebrant – now this is a funny story. Our American friend Chris, who's the same as Joey from Friends, became ordained not too long ago, attempting to encourage Tom to propose, so obviously once the time came, he was the one that did it for all of us."

"All from the flowers were grown in Tom's folks' garden by his amazing mum or originated from his aunt's garden, grown by his fabulous aunt."

"Given it had been a country garden wedding, and that we were doing everything ourselves, we simply wanted items to be natural and relaxed, yet chic. It was much more about being comfortable and achieving great food, music, and plenty to drink. We just wanted everyone to possess a good time."

A Glamorous Australian-Inspired Barn Wedding

Jenna, who works in sponsorship, and Glen, who works in finance, were married around 8 September at, Essex. The venue is a light and contemporary orangery and barn set inside a historic, family-owned country estate.

Jenna and Glen first met in 2008, when studying at a university in Lincoln. Facebook was relatively recent, and Glen added Jenna as a friend once they met on the night out.

"The rest is history! After we graduated a couple of months later, we had a long-distance relationship, traveling around the M25 every weekend to determine each other before we went to live in London together 5 years later. It was another four years later when Glen proposed around the weekend of my 30th birthday, down by Tower Bridge around the Thames. We celebrated the following night with everyone inside my 30th birthday celebration, and also the following week in Copenhagen."

Miina, please introduce your brand to the readers and bridal community

Indiebride London is about comfortable, bohemian wedding gowns with a hint of vintage vibes. These luxurious yet relaxed wedding gowns are made from delicate laces and silks and decorated with lace trimmings. We are a sustainable bridal wear logo and take pride in the personal service that people provide along with the beautiful, handmade wedding dresses.

Can you describe your signature style?

My design style is principally affected by the gorgeous materials we use. I wish to design timeless prom dresses which have certain originality for them. I often combine lovely laces and lace trimmings with various silks and ramie. The result is a significant bohemian look having a hint of vintage vibes.

I like textures because they make an outfit look more interesting. I often design dresses for similar women that I am, a little alternative, bohemian and artsy.

Would you say your designs are for any variety of body shapes?

Absolutely! We have both, slinky silk dresses and loose-fitting lace dresses (and the other way around) that offer more cover due to their texture.

Everyone can look for a dress that feels comfortable and appears amazing in it. We also make alterations to the standard styles on our collection, therefore if someone loves an outfit that is suited to her knees but feels much more comfortable in an A-line skirt that doesn't hug every curve, we can change the shape of the skirt.

Tell us about your ethical fabrics and materials?

We would rather use natural materials. This is why we make use of a lot of various kinds of silks; silk marocain, sand-washed silk satin, crinkled silk chiffon, and imperial silk satin for that lining. Emma, please introduce yourself…

My Name is Emma Beaumont and I started my company around seven years back. I turned thirty this past year and I reside in Knutsford with my young boy Maximums who's two and a half. My house is a two-minute walk from my studio which I would also class as my vacation home. I started the company in 2013, using my mum, Sarah.

Tell us the way you started in bridal fashion and what drew you to bridal particularly?

I started my company after university, I graduated from the University of the creative arts in Rochester, Kent. I studied Fashion Atelier, a diploma centered on the couture techniques of sewing and learning the basic principles of garment construction. After graduating with this knowledge I began sewing for family and friends. My first workspace ended up being at the back of the nail salon, where I would frequently get women thinking about having dresses made after entering the salon.

My mum also worked in bridal throughout my degree, I would help her with sample sales and become familiar with dealing with brides. I would say the bridal bug got me once I discovered lace. The team and I can create different samples and prototypes and critique them together, developing together once we go.

Would you say your designs are for any variety of body shapes?

An Intimate Fiesta Wedding

Meet our couple, Emma, who's Head of Wholesale for women's designer ERDEM, and Ben, who's the Director of the recruitment company. The couple wed on 11 May 2019 around the island of Mallorca.

"We desired to make a weekend from it and for family and friends to be able to remain at the venue. We were searching for somewhere that allowed us to achieve that, but also desired to keep the wedding small."

When she found her lovely lace prom dresses, there is only one option for Emma, which was a dress using its tiered ruffles and cutaway shoulder detail.

Emma added pearl drop earrings, and wore simple white sandals, in addition to a custom-made veil.

"My veil is made of silk tulle and edged with lace in the hem from the dress once they shortened it."

I'm so very happy to be sharing more work by photographers, as I had the pleasure of covering they shot in 2018, and that we shared this past year.

"Paco and Aga understood us immediately. We didn’t want anything too posed, just to capture the essence of the day, plus they did just that. They were like ninjas around the day and also the final results are beautiful. We love them and loved sharing all of them with our family and friends. They shared sneak peeks around, and were so communicative through the whole process."

The two bridesmaids looked wonderful in elegant column gowns, in sunny shades of red and yellow, and together with Emma, carried pretty hand-tied bouquets of white sweet peas, anemones, and scabiosa, and Emma's also included subtle bursts of color in lovely lemon yellow and peachy ranunculus.

Ben wore an incredible bespoke linen suit, that they paired with a white shirt, green printed tie, and shoes.

"We met via a friend at a party in 2012 and moved in together after six months. Ben's proposal was low-key – late one night inside a wine bar in Paris. He hadn't brought the ring with him that night so I thought it was a tale – he'd planned to inquire about me over dinner several nights later but decided to inquire about that on a whim instead because the moment felt right. We had our wedding annually and a half later."

Guests gathered for that ceremony, taking their seats outside within the garden, encompassed by citrus and palm trees, using the grassy aisle adorned with vibrant blooms. Emma was accompanied on the aisle by her dad, who also performed the ceremony.

Laura was the couple’s wedding coordinator, as well as their day was beautifully styled by Lisa.

A Summer Meadow Inspired Barn Wedding

A Hudson Valley Inspired Lakeside Wedding

When I got engaged, I thought I'd slim down for my wedding. More than that

When I got engaged, I thought I'd slim down for my wedding. More than that, I thought I'd be what I regarded as "thin" for my wedding. Because everyone loses weight for his or her wedding, right?

Guilt took over my prom dresses ceremony planning journey, and I don't want that to occur to you – so allow me to talk you through my story of attempting to slim down for my wedding.

So to the beginning – the gown. The first dress.

I purchased a dress I thought was such a bride's appearance. And I purchased a dress I THOUGHT would fit me. To be clear, I don't regret buying that dress due to the experience I had with my bridesmaids and mum, which I will cherish.

But stating that – I hate that damn dress. And I will let you know why.

The dress would be a size 22, and I would be a size 22 – wedding gowns run, inexplicably, two sizes small, but I thought it would be a manageable quantity of weight to get rid of.

I embarked on the weight loss "journey". We call it an outing, it's a lot more like an assault course. I"m likely to call it "hell".

But that's irrelevant. Good god am I not penning this post to give you weight reduction advice. I despair when I browse the posts about weight worries there are comments about "the Cambridge diet", "Keto", or "Just drink plenty of water". In my estimation, these brides need reassurance, no more reasons to beat themselves up.

Back to my weight-reduction hell. I, similar to what I'm sure a lot of you do, have significant anxiety issues as well as an acutely stressful life. The weight that I thought was likely to "drop off", didn't. Although I overhauled my diet and drinking habits, in no small part to my now-husband (yay!) cooking me amazing healthy meals; the moments of weakness, the moments of tiredness, stress, exhaustion, and merely plain to hell by using it didn't disappear.

I sang I danced, I pretended to become a disco ball, I felt peaceful with myself, and desperately deeply in love with my now-husband!

So, to conclude, my advice for you is… obtain a dress that matches you, because life happens. Take that pressure off yourself, because planning for a wedding ought to be a joy.
