The prom dresses code was dinner suits and ball gowns and also the color palette was beautiful soft pinks and foliage greens. Then let's satisfy the gorgeous couple. Airline pilots Rebecca and Richard tied the knot on 30th June 2018 in the beautiful private country house in Shropshire.
"I wanted something just a little different and Emma's dresses were precisely what I was searching for. I wanted something simple that will make people talk. It definitely wouldn't be what everyone would choose, also it was questioned just a little by family and friends, but that simply made me like it even more – it had been me!"
"It was the only real dress I placed on and I felt much like me in it. It was simple, and elegant coupled with a low back with detail. It was also really light thinking about the heat at the time of the wedding. I wanted simple as I didn't want the gown to wear me, and I could go just a little bolder using the veil and accessories then."
The groom complemented the color scheme perfectly inside a classic black tuxedo suit made bespoke by and accessorized by having a pair of shoes and a watch.
"Richard and I met at flight school in Southampton. I'd recently been there just for over a month and the house went to welcome Richard's house and that we hit off immediately."
"Richard had always wanted to put on a dinner suit at our wedding, and I quite liked the idea from the girls dealing with dressing up and wearing cocktail dresses and ball gowns, therefore we went with this as the gown code. I also love vintage colors and themes therefore we wanted to incorporate this too, hence the flowers being dusky pinks and purples."
"My dad accompanied me on the aisle to How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding. The Wrexham Registry Office performed the ceremony and we used the vows they provided. The registrar performed an attractive ceremony and several of our guests commented how good she was and just how much they enjoyed it."
"Turning the corner in the top from the aisle and seeing Richard turn his visit to see me, near to tears, was among my favorite moments of the day. He didn't need to say anything, I knew just how he felt. I also loved just how much everyone else was enjoying themselves. Everyone was so happy and achieving so much fun – it made all of the hard work worthwhile!"
Following the ceremony, guests were spoiled by having a drinks and canapés reception using the string quartet, playing without anyone's knowledge before heading indoors to some beautifully decorated wedding breakfast room.
"Other compared to flowers and candle displays done through the florist, we didn't decorate the venue. It was beautiful only the way it had been."
"The venue provided the catering for that canapés and wedding breakfast. We chose to possess wood-fired pizza for that evening's food and these were AMAZING!"
"I met Linda in the National Wedding Show and her cakes were precisely what I was after. They're quite simple with nice, sharp edges, and also the sugar flowers are simply exquisite! I found a design I liked on Pinterest and we worked with that to produce our cake."
"We chose Can't Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis Presley for the first dance song. It was among my grandad's favorite songs and so it felt like he was part of the wedding with it as our first dance."
Words Of Wedded Wisdom
