A Sustainable Wedding

Come with me to Surrey, for any relaxed wedding dresses celebration with sustainability at its heart. It's a delight introducing you to Anna, who works in advertising and marketing, and Jay, an abundance manager, who married on 14 September 2018.

Their ceremony occurred in the Twickenham before they as well as their guests traveled on the Thames by ferry to nearby for any reception which brought the outside in. For Anna making her and Jay's wedding as sustainable as you possibly can be key, an ethos that flowed with the day, that was boho, relaxed and low-key in the vibe.

"I love it was simple, elegant, modern and trendy. I loved the lace detail around the bust and back. It felt just like a proper wedding gown but still understated. I bought the gown from, as I think it's so sad that such beautiful dresses only get worn once after which sit within the attic for three decades!"

For a modern feel, the bride-to-be added silver platforms and wore a beaded crown-like headpiece which she available on. I love the relaxed feel of her hair, which had added height to the crown and was pulled back from her face in loose waves.

The bridesmaids' below-the-knee, wrap gowns would be the perfect complement for Anna’s gown using their lacy fabric and cap sleeves, which gorgeous blue is fresh. They were, and also the girls added a necklace from, fresh flowers for or their hair as well as their shoes.

Jay dressed inside a dapper, three-piece suit and accessories. The couple first met at university over 10 years ago and were engaged for any year before their September wedding.

"We met within our early twenties in London via a mutual friend. I visited the high school together with her in Sydney, Jay did annually of the university together with her in Barcelona."

Anna and Jay's civil ceremony occurred in the Octagon Room at Orleans House Gallery which had been simply decorated with flowers from Petersham.

"Both Orleans House and Petersham Nurseries are extremely beautiful, very little needed to become added. At Orleans, I were built with a wicker basket with flat shoes tied inside a thick pink ribbon for guests to alter out of heels for that ferry ride when they wanted to, set alongside a stand with Champagne and another wicker basket for lavender rose petals."

I'm deeply in love with these wonderful photographs by Yulia, whose informal style and eye for color have captured this late summer wedding to perfection.

"Yulia includes a fantastic eye and captured such subtle and delightful imagery on our wedding day. She is professionally making the whole process increasingly simple. The final images captured the day and also the mood."

The day was built with a subtle geographical theme running through it, inspired by the places Anna and Jay have lived. The stylish calligraphy from the place names and stationery caught my attention.

The gorgeous conservatories at Petersham resulted in the wedding breakfast being flooded with light, and also the wonderful foliage and flowers are simply beyond-words beautiful. The dinner was built with a subtle Italian vibe that extended even towards the wedding cake.

"We went for any family-sharing type of serving to help keep it informal. There were a lot of delicious courses and we got a lot of positive comments about the food afterward."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"I probably would have started it just a little later than 10:30 am! I was very worried it had been such a long day, however, in fact, everyone was still partying before the DJ stopped playing at nighttime."

"In retrospect, though I think 11 am or 11.30 am will be a better time as I was up pretty early within the morning preparing!"
