A Handfasting Wedding inside a Scottish Castle

Psychology graduate Sam, and a web-based community moderator Corinne celebrated their marriage on 16 June 2018 within the beautiful medieval.

"Rowallan Castle was the foremost and only wedding venue we visited once we knew instantly it was the best for us! The grounds before the main castle were beautiful and we loved the rustic aesthetic inside."

"Blair was excellent. I had admired her work from afar before approaching her in regards to a customized hair piece for my big day. She knew precisely what I wanted and created an amazing delicate crown/hair vine that matched the bohemian yet regal look I was opting for."

Corinne's flower girl wore an embellished dress from a collection for kids, in addition to a fresh flower crown.

The bridesmaids wore floaty pastel blue dresses embroidered with sparkly beads, along with their shoes, pearl necklaces, and, fresh flowers in their hair.

"I had always wanted an outfit that felt true to my very own personal style. I wanted a whimsical, bohemian feel having a flowing skirt. Following a scheduled appointment where I tried on several dresses, I realized that not one of them felt quite right."

"When I tried on 'Grace' I knew it had been my dress. I loved everything about this – in the delicate shoulder beading, the shimmering embellishment, the low-back, and also the cascading silk chiffon brocade skirt. which helped me feel free and allowed easy movement."

Sam and also the groomsmen wore splendid Highland prom dresses – the Flower of Scotland tartan having a Lomond jacket and shoulder plaid, and Corinne gifted Sam a set of engraved cufflinks to put on, too.

"Sam and I met years back through his cousin, my long-time closest friend, and maid of honor, Emma. We were friends for years before the friendship blossomed into love as teenagers. On a vacation to the Isle of Skye, Sam suggested going to the Fairy Glen one afternoon because it is our favorite just right island. We piled into the car together with his family and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Willow and headed to Uig, upon arriving Sam attempted to convince me to climb up towards the basalt topping on one of the hills that looks just like a ruin from afar called Castle Ewan."

"I was caught off-guard as I thought he was getting some balance around the hilltop, instead he asked, "How long have we been together for?" I replied "I don't know… too much time," jokingly after which he opened a diamond ring box and replied "How about this making it longer?" during my confusion, I exclaimed "What?! Are you being serious?!!" before tearing up and replying "Yes, of course"."

These enchanting images, full of soft sunlight are by the photographer. She has perfectly captured the spirit and romance of Corinne and Sam's day, plus they couldn't happen to be happier using their choice.

"Suzie was wonderful; she was friendly and fun to utilize. She made us laugh and feel instantly comfortable. She has a keen eye for detail and was able to capture the moments between the moments. We couldn't be happier using the pictures. We love her natural, airy type of photography and recommend her!"

"It was fantastic having our friends and family all together in one place. I remember searching the room and seeing everyone enjoying themselves and feeling so loved. Looking back, there's very little about our big day that we might have done differently. Although, Sam wishes he did not miss out around the cake!"

Modern + Romantic Wedding Dresses

Hello lovely readers and I hope that you're getting the most wonderful day. My diary is completely packed now but I must pop in as I have something very special for you. I love how she marries elegance and traditional skills with contemporary style and wonderful craftsmanship so it's no real surprise that Sassi is a leading international designer with plenty of awards and accolades under her belt.

"Embellished and floral tulles and 3D waffle fabrics feature heavily within this new collection," says Sassi. "You'll see feathers and brocades coupled with delicate sparkle sequins, pearls, and lace, which create dresses which have 'soft impact' whilst retaining the fundamental femininity from the wedding gown."

I love the important thing design elements within this collection too – laser-cut applique, understated embellishments, unique back details, and plunging necklines have caught my attention. They're used perfectly, creating interest without overwhelming the gowns by any means.

I'm also smiling blissfully in the silhouettes which include. There's from dramatic soft tulle ball gowns through playful tiered skirts as well as to figure-hugging fishtails. They're all certainly romantic however the variation provides you with the chance to choose your version of romance for the big day and that's be to applauded.

"Designing a brand new collection requires patience – you need to wait for the stars to align suddenly when, out of the blue, how well you see and the direction from the collection comes to you and reveals that creativity inside you. The beginning part of the process is generally adrenaline-fuelled as I discover the feel and vibe of the collection. After this, my team and I begin looking at fabrics, and, when I discover that one amazing fabric, that's when all of the pieces come together and also the collection comes into the world."

"I design wedding dresses with the hope that brides will like them and I don't design having a specific bride in your mind. I think the gowns are delivered to life through the bride putting them on. It's by pointing out the person who wears the gown."

Sassi will not choose a favorite within the collection because "that could be like asking me to select my favorite child" but there are several that I must give special mention to. I particularly love the gowns that appear to be very decorous in the front but possess a low or cut-away back for example. The statement skirt is a real show-stopper and also the feathery skirt is unmissable.

The elegant simplicity of instant appeals and I adore the figure-hugging, long-sleeved great thing about it. Finally, check out those tiered skirts – and are stunning designs, and also the subtle stripes around the skirt are simply delightful.

"It's very easy to be overwhelmed by all of the images you'll find online so stay true to yourself and your style – be the greatest version of yourself but be you. Remember, it is important about any dress is when the person feels putting it on. Trust your instinct… not to mention your chosen designer!"

A Surrey Palace Wedding

Today I've got probably the most lovely of September weddings to express. Taya, who works in marketing, wed Mark, who has a career in banking. They married on 29 September 2018 inside service at, Addington. The newlyweds as well as their guests managed to move on to the Palace for any celebration inspired by its regal surroundings, with softness added by numerous fresh flowers inside a beautiful color pattern of gold, pink and green.

"My bridesmaids and I agreed that the soft pink suited all to ensure that led how with our theme. Our final colors were gold and pink with a lot of greenery and muted flowers. The beautiful style of the Great Hall at Addington Palace did the remainder."

Taya selected her wonderful gown, then caused to produce a unique, customized gown that meets her down towards the ground. I love the almost-sheer skirt and fitted, embellished bodice using its daring low-back.

"I loved the flattering shape on me coupled with an idea of what I desired to create using the tailors. We completely transformed it into something unique."

The girls' hair and makeup were styled so beautifully, using their looks finished off with crystal pins and fresh flowers. They each carried a bouquet of fresh white blooms and crisp foliage, come up with by florists.

The morning's preparations were caught on camera, whose natural style implies that all of the intimate, relaxed moments happen to be recorded beautifully.

"Carl was simply incredible. I'd spoken with many different photographers but we'd the best rapport with Carl. As we're much less big on posing we loved his documentary-style photography to capture the real atmosphere in our day."

"He was fun, patient, and thus creative. We could 't be happier with these pictures and everyone has commented how great these were!"

Taya's six bridesmaids chose probably the most divine gowns, selecting styles to match their styles and tastes. I adore the beautiful combination of sparkly bodice and tulle skirts.

"One bridesmaid lives in Australia and another was eight months pregnant at that time. The different styles in the same range meant everyone could pick what suited them best."

"My favorite part was whenever we were announced man and wife in the church. We were officially Mr and Mrs and our friends cheered SO loudly it was the only real moment I'd got emotional all day long!"

The couple was blessed with a beautiful late September day, and therefore mingling outside at Addington Palace within the sunshine was essential. The guests enjoyed the welcome reception outside, together with live saxophone music from Ian Thompson.

"Our wedding dresses cake would be a naked three-tier cake from M&S decorated with flowers and fruit. We also were built with a second five-tier cheesecake (I'm an enormous fan of cheese) which doubled up as part of the evening food menu."

Taya and Mark had worked so difficultly to dress the Great Hall from the Palace, utilizing a garland of artificial wisteria to frame the very best table to wonderful effect.

In a nod to their engagement story, the pair's first dance ended up being Bob Marley's 'Is This Love'.

"My second favorite moment was right at the end of our wedding in which the two of us wound up crowd surfing to Prince's 'Purple Rain'. That was unexpected but a sign of an excellent party!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Enjoy every moment. It's said so frequently but the whole planning process and day itself does indeed fly by and also you don't reach do it again! Soak everything in, don't let yourself get consumed with stress, and bring your family and friends along how to make it much more fun and memorable."

An Elegantly Rustic Scottish Wedding

Steph and Chris, who both operate in recruitment, wed on 2 September 2017 within the beautiful house and grounds of Gorebridge, Midlothian. The venue offered an ideal space to allow them to create an elegantly rustic look while using suppliers of their choice. They married within the stately Orangery after which celebrated in style within the beautiful tipi within the gardens. With a simple color pattern of white, deep green foliage, and touches of soppy blue, the appearance is overwhelmingly beautiful and romantic.

"We thought about being able to use an area how we chose, to set up our suppliers, etc. We needed back yard for tipis plus they had a beautiful, rustic Orangery for all of us to have the ceremony in. We wanted a very relaxed rustic feel and wanted tipis having a fire-pit."

What do you consider Steph's beautiful selection of fishtail gowns? A long-sleeved, beaded design in pure white from Edinburgh, I think Steph looks utterly gorgeous. I'm so taken using the embellished illusion bodice.

"It has beautiful detail across a very fitted bodice and dropped down right into a gorgeous fishtail that, even though it was also shaped and fitted, was soft and floaty so nice and relaxed. I loved that although it was built with a strapless bodice, it was built with a beaded mesh that went up to my collarbone coupled with the most gorgeous, detailed sleeves. It just felt different and everyone said hello was very 'me'."

Are some of you choosing black bridesmaids' gowns? I love these dresses, in various styles to match each bridesmaid's figure. They make this type of statement and appear elegant and comfy – an ideal combination, in my eyes. The girls all got ready in the venue aided by hair stylists, who created Steph's updo, and, who cared for the bridesmaids and Steph's mum.

The couple met through work and knew pretty soon that they had something special.

"I had never visited bothered concerning the idea of marriage but we did know in early stages that we desired to have kids together, and thus we had our young boy Brodie. After Brodie was created, marriage seemed more important for all of us as a family. Although we'd discussed it, Chris surprised me by proposing on my small birthday that is in October, and that we got married the next September."

The marriage ceremony was held which looks so beautiful dressed with fairy lights along with a floral archway. Steph walked on the aisle together with her dad as Chris waited on her, looking super-smart inside a suit.

Steph is lucky enough to get a count photographer like a friend, and she's swept me away together with her breathtaking, light-filled images that have such amazing clarity. From the photographs from the venue to her stunning bridal portraits, I'm a significant fan of hers seeing her work. Are some of you likely to ask a buddy to photograph the wedding?

"I was always astonished by how beautiful her photographs are – she always captures probably the most beautiful light and her shots will always be soft and romantic. I was delighted when she decided to come over to Edinburgh to complete our wedding – also it was so lovely for an old friend to become the one to capture all of the wee intimate moments from the day. She's amazing."

"We went for mostly white and blue, having a lot of foliage. I had some roses and thistles during my bouquet, Chris and also the boys had thistles and also the bridesmaid dresses had rather easy bouquets of baby's breath."

In keeping using the overall rustic theme, your guests were served a traditional hog roast, and sweet treats arrived in decadent marshmallow form. The simple tiered wedding cake, decorated having a cascade of fresh roses.

"We had probably the most incredible day – from beginning to end it had been exactly what we wanted. But the best benefit weirdly was the end. Everyone had left and Chris and I had stayed behind and we hung around to ensure the generators were turned off. As I was on our very own, we quietly put a bit of music on and were built with dance within the empty tipi."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't lose sight of the fact that it's about 'getting married'. Whatever you choose, no matter what on your day, the entire point is sharing your vows using the people you love probably the most. It's simple to get caught up in all of the excitement (and pressure!) of planning, just stay true to what it all actually way to you – and revel in it – it is going so fast, take it in."

An Online Dating Love Story

Natassja, a lawyer, and Conrad, an airline pilot, married within their local village church, in Cuckfield, West Sussex on 2 June 2018, having a summertime reception afterward within the grand but relaxed setting of, Horsham. Their day would be a true summer celebration, having a classic English countryside theme along with a dainty color pattern of blush pink, white, and silver. The couple met in 2013, and despite a preliminary attraction producing a happy 'swipe right', their relationship was slow to begin.

"We went for white and blush pink flowers to choose our color theme. I love peonies so chose white peonies; our florist said hello was touch and go whether they would be accessible at this time of the year and luckily these were, coupled with pale blush pink sweet avalanche roses and deeper pink Miranda David Austin roses."

"I saw it within the shop window and instantly fell deeply in love with it. It was precisely what I had pictured wearing; sleek, figure-hugging, classy, delicate lace detail around the bust along with a long train. When I used it on I felt so comfortable inside it and it just felt enjoy it was made for me."

"I tried on about twenty more dresses, including some big princess dresses which my bridesmaids had me put on, but none of these felt much like me; I just felt like I was playing liven up. I knew nothing would top that dress. Everyone around the day said hello was precisely what they had pictured me in, which I think is a great thing."

Natassja's selection of blush pink for the bridesmaid dresses is really elegant; they wore floor-length halterneck gowns, worn using their shoes along with pearl or silver earrings.

A sheer white, cathedral-length veil looks perfect drifting behind her, and her blonde hair was ornamented with handmade silver and freshwater pearl hair pins. For the day, the hair stylist left it cascading around her shoulders in glossy ringlets.

"Our relationship would be a slow burner; we had each other off and on for about 6 months and then Conrad (eventually) inquired about being his girlfriend in April 2014. We moved right into a rented flat in November 2015 after which bought our first house in October 2016. Conrad booked a surprise visit to Iceland for my 26th personal gift in November 2016. I had simply no idea of his intention to propose; actually, he had almost convinced me he never desired to get married so I wasn't expecting it!"

"He had the ring hidden in the hand luggage also it went off at airport security, so he explained to go and perform some shopping to ensure I was out from the way. His first plan ended up being to propose in front of the Northern Lights when they made an appearance. We continued a late-night trip to see them, however, they didn't appear until we'd all got back on the bus. We continued a tour from the Golden Circle the following day and he proposed my experience in front of the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall. It's all a blur but I keep in mind being on cloud nine and apparently, I kept asking if it would be a joke (as I am shocked) before saying yes!"

Whilst the girls got ready, Conrad and the groomsmen were preparing for that ceremony, donning crisp blue suits paired with patterned waistcoats.

"The moment whenever we walked in the aisle and out from the church as a couple with all our guests cheering and also the bells ringing stands out like a moment which will forever possess a place in my heart. The sun arrived on the scene in full force just once we stepped outside also it was wonderful, it was precisely what I had hoped and pictured. Also away from church whenever we did the confetti walk, you can just feel all of the love from your guests."

"We decided on a four-tier cake having a white marbled effect and also the second from top tier would be a gold leaf wrap, with handmade white and blush pink flowers cascading on the side, the inspiration that I found on. I love anything marble and thought it had been quite a unique idea as I hadn't seen a cake enjoy it. It was topped with this personalized cake topper which we'd made with; a miniature replica of Conrad in the pilot's uniform and me in my wedding gown. They got the detail spot on also it's something which we will keep forever."

"We also hired casino tables (one roulette and something blackjack) from and set up one from the rooms as 'Las Vegas, as that's where we both continued our hen and stag do's. We had 'Bank of Hanlon-Gouveia' dollars printed with these faces on and also the winner won a bottle of Champagne. It transpired very well using the guests. We also hired a photo booth, which is always a success."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Try and revel in every bit of planning and don't wish it away, even when your wedding feels as though ages away. I remember thinking in the start I wish the wedding would be quick and I just couldn't watch for it, but attempt to enjoy all of the planning because that's a part of it so when it's over you will likely miss that."

Meet The Wedding Dress Designer + Bridal Couturier

Since I met during the launch of 1 of her earlier collections, she's constantly been on my wedding radar among the loveliest, most talented designers around. Caroline, as you're going to find out, does things just a little differently and she or he just exudes passion and joy.

Caroline, please introduce yourself to the readers…

"I would describe myself, in mind, being an authentic, dressmaker geek. I'm noted for designing breath-taking bespoke gowns. Abigail, among my brides, says that '… Caroline creates THE most wonderful wedding experience. As well as being among the most lovely people in the world, she's also a remarkably skilled designer/seamstress. She went far above to help me create my dream dress making every step there this type of beautiful area of the journey. She is incredible at listening and it has this perfect method of bringing life and expression for your ideas…'"

Many in our readers simply don't know how to start when it comes to their wedding gown – an amount you say to them?

"I believe wedding dresses are only for friends and family. I would always suggest asking those close to you for any recommendation or advice – they are fully aware of you well, and also have your best interests in mind. They also understand how you like to dress, and within your network, you'll usually see there is a connection somewhere having a bridal shop, a dressmaker, a designer, simply to start for your journey."

How long does the entire process of creating a bespoke dress take?

"A designed-to-measure gown typically takes upwards of 40 hours to measure, cut, stitch and fit, spread within the four months preceding a bride's big day. But our adaptability is legendary, that is probably among the reasons we obtain so many recommendations."

"We believe strongly our precious brides shouldn't have to worry when they find they alter their mind about some information on their design, or they find how much they weigh changes…this is actual life, you're the bride, and it's not your condition. You have something made since you want it as you need it, which is our job to make sure it fits beautifully around the day."

"Another of my brides, Carole, says this about her experience: 'Watching my dress then evolve in the page to reality was this type of pleasurable experience I would like to go back and do all of it again. Caroline is a true master of her craft, I trusted her everything of the way. I was honored to put on the beautiful dress she made for me.'"

Tell us that which you love probably the most about dealing with brides?

"My favorite thing about dealing with brides would be that the world slows for any moment. The choosing of the gown is one thing to take time over, something to experience your way, either alone or with family and friends."

"I love the easy pleasure to be allowed to join an innovative bride in a precious time in her own life, and achieving a window on her behalf life, loves, and passions. Every day, we have seen fabulous, inspiring, stylish women (whether they think they're), filled with joy, hope, and laughter."

What's the widely used part of your work?

"My favorite area of the job is my freedom of preference. How I spend time, how I can adapt it to invest time with my loved ones, how I respond to others, and just how I can support and nurture young dressmakers, who I like to mentor and coach. Jenny, an aspiring bridal dressmaker says that I'm 'passionate about enhancing the next generation of seamstresses.' But mostly, it's the rare and magic chance to liberate those around me to become creative, to relax, and also have confidence."

A Magnificent Scottish Castle Wedding

Teacher Natalie and lawyer Christopher were wed on 7th April 2018 at St Mary's Metropolitan Cathedral in Edinburgh, then a reception in South Queensferry.

"I'd always loved Craig and Eva's work, these were like celebrities in my experience! I first approached them inside my uncle's wedding so when they inquired about when my wedding was, I sheepishly replied that I wasn't even engaged yet. After a few giggles along with a few years, I kept to my word plus they were among the first suppliers I excitedly emailed soon after getting engaged."

"They put us comfortable throughout the whole day and did a fantastic job of making us seem like we knew what we should be doing. They have a flawless eye for detail and captured everything in the tiny moments towards the big ones with your beauty. I'm still attempting to pick my favorites for the album!"

"Dundas Castle was the initial venue we visited! To be honest, I was going on a fantasy wedding trip and then wound up falling in love with it. As we drove into the driveway, it would be a bright crisp January morning and it had been just spectacular. I knew at that moment it had been where I wanted to obtain married which would be a tough one to beat."

Natalie's bridesmaids looked picture perfect in powder blue sleeveless dresses, accessorized with rainbow shoes and shoe clips. The bride designed the princess-style flower girl dresses. The page boys were dressed up in kilts and also the hair-making-up was supplied by Karen and Louise.

The bride chose a remarkably stunning sleeveless sheer dress with floral applique detail by a designer via West Kilbride for that special occasion.

"As soon because the back was fastened I got that feeling. I'd never witnessed anything enjoy it before. I loved how a skirt sparkled also it had the 'wow factor for me."

"Christopher and I first met in school, though he would be a few years above me. We didn't properly get chatting until years later whenever we bumped into one another with a mutual friend one Christmas Eve in Glasgow, and also the rest as the saying goes is history! Christopher lived in London for 11 many soon moved home next fateful Christmas kiss."

"The walk, or perhaps in my case, the slight jog, on the aisle seemed to be a moment I'll always remember. We entered the cathedral through the side door so I couldn't see Christopher in the beginning. My bridesmaids, flower girls, and page boys walked down towards the first verse of Highland Cathedral played beautifully through the brass quartet and organ."

"When the drummer started his beat and also the piper began, which was my cue and I was trembling! I've never squeezed my dad's hand so difficult."

"As I turned the corner in the top from the aisle and saw Christopher, my nerves just melted away. He jokes now about how exactly quickly I made my way on the aisle towards him. He said his lip began quivering because the drummer started but thankfully I got to him before the tears came."

"Our cake is made by and was solely chosen by Christopher. He has the sweet tooth so when the day came to select the flavors and fillings, it had been like Christmas for him! We had 5 tiers; vanilla, chocolate, Red Velvet, chocolate orange, and also the traditional fruitcake on the top."

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

"My advice for future bridesmaid dresses is always to try to share the look with your husband to become; some males are happy to have a step back but I liked that people could both take a minute sitting at the top table and appear around to see what we should have achieved together."

A Laidback Vintage Inspired Wedding

Teacher Ash and IT engineer Ian were wed on 18th August at St Mary's Church in Long Newton, by having an evening reception at manor hotel and restaurant in Asenby, North Yorkshire.

"We wanted a relaxed, fun day having a bit of the vintage theme into it. To fit in using the nautical theme from the venue, we attempted to include little anchors where we're able to as well."

On the marriage day, the bride-to-be and her babes looked utterly stunning in all-white. Ash decided on a beaded fishtail dress, purchased from in York and perfectly consistent with the relaxed vibe from the reception venue.

"I'd always wanted something beaded coupled with this dress yourself in mind since we've got engaged. Everyone said I wouldn't end up receiving the dress I first loved, but the moment I use it, I completely fell deeply in love with it. The beading is beautiful also it was a lot more sparkly than I expected it to be coupled with an old Hollywood feel into it which I loved. The style seemed to be flattering on me and I knew I would have the ability to dance and eat that have been big parts from the day!"

"We wanted wild garden flowers and picked Adam while he uses seasonal blooms. He is so creative that we left the option up to him. We desired to include shades of yellow and orange once we wanted bright flowers consistent with the venue."

The bridesmaid dresses all wore matching ivory-colored full-length dresses along with a silver ring Ash designed for each of them like a gift. They also each held a bouquet of wild orange blooms and lush greenery which contrasted perfectly with the white dresses, all expertly developed.

"Ash's parents have married at St Mary's Church two-and-a-half decades ago and we had both lived within the village, and that's why we decided to be married there too. We chose The Crab and Lobster since it felt relaxed also it's quite an eccentric little place to have a vintage feel."

A talented wedding photographer was on hand around the day to capture the special moment after bowling the pair over and done with her gorgeous photography style.

"A friend who seemed to be getting married this past year recommended Sally to us. We loved Sally's style and can't thank her enough for the beautiful photos. She made us look amazing! She captured every part of the day making everyone feel at ease."

Ash and Ian go long ago having first met an entire 13 years back. Their engagement would be a long time coming for family and friends and Ian popped the question up a hill on the day out with Ash.

"Ian and I first met whenever we were both at college and also have been together 13 years! We got engaged in 2015 after which got married in August 2017. Several local hills are very picturesque that I had never visited. Ian chose to take me there for a walk and we took an open-air picnic. He proposed a Roseberry topping. He had planned to consider me to the top but I'm frightened of heights and didn't quite allow it to be…"

"His groomsmen all wore suits with waistcoats from. Both the groom and groomsmen wore another vintage silk pocket square and mustard knit ties. They also all wore mustard socks and anchor cufflinks. The best man wore a silver 'hand from the king' on his lapel once we're all big Game of Thrones fans."

"For our entertainment, we hired who amazed our guests with magic throughout the welcome drinks and canapes. We opted against a DJ for that evening reception and instead were built with a jukebox for guests to choose songs themselves. We also designed a treasure hunt where guests could search for free drinks tokens around the gardens, along with having a small golf hole where guests needed to beat the groom shot."

"Looking back around the day, our favorite part was the ceremony. We loved celebrating with all of our family and friends, however, the ceremony was special. It was relaxed, and funny sometimes (because of Reverend John Lambert's Mr and Mrs game), also it just felt personal to us. We felt a lot of love and happiness from everyone there – it had been great!"

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

"My best advice is always to accept just as much help from people as possible. Ian and I desired to be as independent as we were able to be with this planning, but everything came together in the end with the aid of our amazing family and friends. On your day – just appreciate it!"

A Minimalist + Nature Inspired Wedding

On 12 May 2018, and married inside a wild, natural humanist ceremony in the beautiful, coastal Argyll, Scotland. The couple, who're both media lawyers, decided to return to Alex's native Scotland for a sunny weekend of celebrations using their loved ones.

Crear drew them along with its relaxed atmosphere, incredible sea views and it is light-filled spaces, that have been perfect for that couple's vision of a minimalist wedding with fresh greenery and white flowers which celebrated the neighborhood landscape. How lovely too, to see that the pair found their photographer Caro through, as a result, found their light-filled venue.

The couple's selection of clean, minimal looks seemed to be evident in Alex's beautiful selection of silk gowns; a flowing made-to-measure design with incredible movement and grace. Cut so simply, it's understated yet luxe, elegant yet ethereal. The bride originally saw and fell deeply in love with it on before even seeing it for real in the fabulous.

"I was sure I would get something having a simple Scandi look, possibly not complete, and perhaps not white, almost definitely with sleeves."

"Between ordering the gown and obtaining the final product, I doubted myself once or twice and wondered whether the gown was an excessive amount of or too formal – however when I tried it on in the last fitting I remembered why I loved it a lot. I only planned to achieve the pleats pinned up for that ceremony but I never got round to taking them down also it was simpler to dance together up."

The groom decided to wear a kilt in Alex's family tartan and appears incredibly distinguished around the day. The ushers and finest man also wore hired kilts, in Black Watch tartan. Ali's accessories were filled with personal meaning, therefore the perfect touch for his big day.

"Ali bought and wore a kilt from in Glasgow. He went for that Arran Tweed blue jacket along with a kilt in McIntyre tartan (my loved one's name) having a green tie."

Ali and Alex first met at a Christmas party this year, were built with a first date a few days after, and happen to be together since.

"We moved in together in London in 2014 (after Alex had a while abroad) and also got engaged in March 2017. We went for a stroll on Hampstead Heath – a location close to both in our hearts and near where we live. Ali proposed within the woods whilst I was sitting on the fallen tree."

The pared-back look was matched by the bridesmaids who wore several gowns, all inside a similar silvery-grey hue.

"It was important to us the bridesmaids could wear something they liked and suited them."

Alex and Ali were keen to possess a humanist ceremony, that was led by celebrant Annie Loughlin.

"We met Annie a few months before the wedding dresses and also got to know her a little – she come up with a lovely service based on what we should tell her about why I was getting married, the way we met, and so forth. It was completely personal to us, funny and informal. Annie again was somebody that we clicked with the moment we met her and she or he has this type of thoughtful, open approach."

My personal favorites are the ones of Ali in her wedding gown around the beach; the movement captured is simply exquisite there is such clarity within the springtime light. We are so proud to list Caro on our, so please for more types of her wedding photography as well as an exclusive offer, too.

"Our photographer was Caro Weiss, who there isn't enough space or time for all of us to wax lyrical about! Caro was the initial supplier we booked and we knew through the process that her photographs could be wonderful, but she still surpassed our expectations."

"She captured the entire day so well. When we got our photos back, I was so grateful and delighted. We had seen how beautiful her shots were of other weddings, but ours were even much better than we might have ever hoped for, and we think they convey how beautiful your day was, how relaxed everything felt, and she or he captured a lot of beautiful moments between guests that people didn't see."

"Two other wonderful moments were within the evening around the beach when it had been just the two people looking out to Jura and Islay, soaking up your day – and then watching the incredible west coast sunset with these guests. The only thing I would do differently is to possess made it towards the macaroni pies over time!"

"I think time immediately following the ceremony was probably the most overwhelming (inside a good way) part of the day for me. To realize that people had got married, and also to have us and friends there around – everyone congratulating us and thus happy for all of us – is one thing that I won't ever forget."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Enjoy all of the planning and do everything together making decisions together – it's a privilege to have the ability to spend time and cash on using a party, but don't lose sight the reason for this all is to got married to the person you like."

A Black Tie + Scandi Inspired Barn Wedding

It happens in the early summer sunshine in the English countryside in a beautiful barn, and it is filled with luscious pastel peonies and roses, accents of gold, and a lot of softly flickering candles. The couple also took their inspiration from the bride's Scandinavian heritage, weaving it thoughtfully and elegantly with the day. Helene and Tom were married on 15 June 2018 at Chicester, occur beautifully landscaped gardens.

"We planned everything ourselves. I have a great adoration for interior and styling, therefore we knew just how we wanted it, but also the team in the venue was fantastic. Also my mum Gunn was helping me with the whole process and together I was the best team. She was always around the other side from the phone when I needed her for advice."

Helene's showstopping fishtail gown with intricate lace was chosen from the Australian label.

"The lace, body, the long train, it had been perfectly elegant and flattering."

Helene carried an ideal bouquet; a seasonal variety of huge peonies and garden roses in fresh shades of lemon yellow, white, and pale pink with a lot of lovely eucalypti.

Tom decided to wear a classic, smart black tie, having a suit from having a crisp white pocket square, as well as a rose gold watch and personalized gold cufflinks – both gifts from Helene. The Best Man and groomsmen wore complimentary black suits and ties, each having a personalized gold clip.

Helene have been traveling for 4 months together with her mum (who Tom says may be the coolest!) when she first met Tom in Thailand where he lived and worked at the time.

"Tom has been working with Norwegian people and funnily enough used some Norwegian pickup lines to talk me up! We had our first date around the beach then traveled back and forwards for any year between Norway and England to see one another, and the rest is history."

"Tom is extremely romantic and planned probably the most magical proposal which took him months. For my 25th birthday, he planned a secret trip. He required Dorset and booked us in a beautiful cottage (like something from my favorite film, The Holiday). He had made a video…of my friends and family in Norway wishing me a happy birthday – it had been quite overwhelming along with a complete surprise."

"He then added a tale of our journey to date into the video, showing all of our amazing memories. The video ended with Tom saying how excited he was that our journey is just beginning… Next thing I know I turn round, he's on a single knee and asks me to marry him!"

Helene's bridesmaids walked on the aisle first, wearing pretty blush pink maxi dresses with their very own footwear and rose gold earrings – gifts from Helene and Tom for that wedding day.

The couple exchanged their vows and rings and signed the register before a stunning floral display on the wooden frame decorated with softly billowing white curtains, made for them by florist Kimberley Walsh.

Following the ceremony, there have been fun and games in the sunshine, and Helene and Tom cut their wedding dresses cake, too. Danni made an amazing four-tier development of carrot cake with chocolate and caramel layers decorated with white icing and hand-painted gold detailing.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't get too swept up on small details, nobody notices them also it causes more stress than is required. Enjoy the process, we'd a great time planning and worked like a team to delegate different jobs and share the burden."

A Foodie-inspired Modern Christmas Wedding

Meet Faye, a Senior Account Director to have an advertising agency, and Jimmy, a consultant to have an IT company, who celebrated their marriage around 22 December 2017. They held their ceremony within the elegant Art Deco surroundings of northeast London then a reception within the wonderful, old tram shed turned event space, lovingly full of reclaimed and recycled materials.

I've discussed quite several brides to date this year, and also have been consistently astounded by the contemporary cool of the designs. Faye chose her gown, using its amazing contrasting lace chevron design and low scoop back.

"I wanted an outfit with sleeves and I wanted something a little more modern that still felt timeless."

I love the asymmetric style of Faye's floral crown in shades of winter white with lovely greenery and timeless wax flowers. This and all sorts of lovely flowers during the day were created through the wonderfully named.

The bridesmaid dresses wore their very own choice of silver boots and shoes paired with deep blue wrap dresses.

"We wanted something easy and relaxed. Nothing stuffy or formal, we wanted everyone to possess fun and become themselves. I think probably the most important thing for all of us was that there were some personal touches, and (maybe most significantly) the food and wine were incredible. We are both self-proclaimed 'foodies' to ensure that was the bit we didn't wish to scrimp on."

After the ceremony everyone boarded a red vintage Routemaster double-decker bus for that journey to Clapton Country Club, enjoying shots of warming homemade sloe gin around the way!

The interiors from the country club are ultra cool and industrial but incredibly cozy and alluring too, with weathered pillars and brick and delightful wooden paneling and floorboards. The space was organized with long tables for feasting beneath festoon lights along with a twinkling Christmas tree.

"The food and wine were essential to use – we'd menus around the table, which detailed all of the canapes that were eaten along with the menu and drinks available, I loved having that there also it's an attractive memory to help keep."

As a competent cook, baker (and cheese lover), Faye handmade the marriage favors – little jars of tasty quince jam. There was a cheese and port pie 'cake' and Faye's mum made the marriage cake, incorporating the couple's favorite flavors in the tiers – carrot for Faye and chocolate for Jimmy.

"I loved preparing, I loved as soon as I held hands with Jimmy after I walked on the aisle before the ceremony started, I loved giggling with him whilst signing the registrar, I loved the speeches, I loved doing an address, I loved drinking little shots of sloe gin my Mum made around the vintage bus towards the venue, I LOVED the meals and I loved the sensation of being encompassed by everyone you like in life and understanding that everyone is there to possess fun and become lovely to every other."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Before you book or buy anything (i.e. several months before) follow all of the best photographers, bridal shops, florists, wedding planners, and stationery companies."

"Do this for several months and merely watch the things they post and also the different styles of things –I swear it's the very best way to obtain new ideas and exercise what you like/don't like."

The bridesmaid dresses wore floaty pastel blue dresses embroidered with sparkly beads, along with their shoes, pearl necklaces, and, fresh flowers in their hair.

Sam and also the groomsmen wore splendid Highland dress – the Flower of Scotland tartan having a Lomond jacket and shoulder plaid, and Corinne gifted Sam a set of engraved cufflinks to put on, too.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't sweat the little stuff! Everyone may have opinions but attempt to remember to do what's right for you as well as your husband. It is your next day of all. Once people witness your happiness around the day they'll follow your lead and revel in themselves."

The couple was keen to mix their Ukrainian and British heritage, whilst embracing the stunning Greek scenery and coming up with the most beautiful trip to their fabulous outdoor venue.

"We focused around the view and desired to support it with natural materials: wood, greenery, candles and textiles, hand-made items, unique, restored furnishings keeping it as relaxed and cozy as you possibly can. We didn't want any guests to become indoors or feel too formal on vacation."

"I love lace and lace gowns are works of art. The mixture of different lace patterns, geometric and intricately flowery was perfect and I felt feminine and comfy in it."

On her feet, Alex wore shoes, while for jewelry she chose earrings along with a necklace, both forms along with a bracelet that was a present from Ukraine. In her hair she wore fresh orchids, to increase the holiday feel.

The bridesmaid dresses wore floaty ombre dresses, combined with jewelry and corsages, while the little flower girl wore a pale pink dress.

Mark waited after the aisle in checked trousers, combined with boots along with a crisp white shirt.

Alex's father accompanied her on the aisle to 'Hell towards the Liars' by London Grammar and also the ceremony was led.

"Our ceremony was a mixture of English, Greek, and private input. We felt it had been important to include the following in the more traditional text:

I will celebrate our differences and provide you with your space, will become familiar with forgiving and end up forgetting and always make sure to laugh. I will adore you as your wife/husband, your companion, and your friend, and I won't ever forget why I married you."

The whole day was captured on camera by Sam and Diana, who has been everywhere, ensuring every moment, every smile, and every word was noted and recorded. You can almost have the bleached white heat from the island and also the sea breeze inside your hair while you look at these.

For favors, Alex and Mark chose wildflower, chili, lavender, and poppy seeds, Santorini shot glasses and honey-pistachio sweets, and traditional Ukrainian mini decorative flower headdresses.

Mark: "My favorite part of the day was the particular ceremony. It was the heart of the event and it had been beautiful. The whole day was overwhelming inside in a good way."

Alex: "I was holding my father, I saw Mark just a couple meters from me as well as in all this stunning setting and amazing setup, I saw the dear faces from various areas of our lives all in one location (some I have only seen on screen for any few years) and nobody was moving. That pause and all of the thoughts and emotions that experienced in my head were extra powerful."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Choose the most important thing for you. You don't need to tick all of the boxes because others get it done. It's your party, so don't invest in things that don't matter to you."

A Victorian Botany-Inspired Wedding

Let's satisfy the couple; Karen, a photographer, and David, a designer. They celebrated their marriage on 19 October 2018 near Salisbury in Wiltshire. They have been together for 20 years, first meeting through work and achieving engagement in New York City in March 2018.

Karen decided on a beautiful sleeveless silk gown – stylish clean lines, elegance, and impeccable craftsmanship.

"I have been trying on plenty of lace figure-hugging dresses as I felt this suited the bohemian look I wanted. They all looked okay, but I didn't love them. I loved the tranquility and modernity of it and it had been cut just perfectly."

"We chose this venue as it had been quirky and unusual. It has multiple beautiful buildings, which enabled us to find the structure during the day exactly how we wanted it, instead of conforming to standards. We decided to have our ceremony outside through the Roman Temple. This would be a gamble to have an October wedding however the indoor option would happen to be equally as nice."

"It was snowing loads and felt magical as it had been lots more than we have ever got within the UK. We walked across Washington Square and also got to the arch. He sent me away to have a picture of him underneath the arch, it was the decoy to find the ring from his pocket. On my return, he inquired about marrying him! We got married 7 months later."

"We opted for any botanical feel in the Victorian era, that was when the venue was being used like a pleasure garden. We took inspiration in the way the Victorians used plants within their homes and gave it a contemporary twist."

Guests gathered within the shade of the amber-leaved oak tree to start the ceremony, and Karen's bridesmaid dresses were first to create their way on the aisle, wearing glamorous asymmetric ruffled gowns from Next were the lovely flower girls wearing ivory dresses produced by Karen's mum, wearing pretty floral crowns.

The florist created these, along with all of the floral arrangements for your day. I love the natural type of Karen's bouquet and also the varied nods to autumn within the subtle colors and varied textures.

"I desired to have plenty of textured foliage with touches of plum to usher in some autumnal color. I desired to have a loose whimsical feel to my bouquet. It coordinated beautifully using the color from the temple, which we'd the ceremony beyond."

David wore a clear, crisp suit along having a damask tie and shoes, along with a shirt from His groomsmen wore their very own suits together with Ted Baker ties.

"For the evening my sister Claire had made all of the macramé planters to hang within the ceiling together with paper lanterns from Ikea which we hung LED light's in. She also made the macramé for that signs and also the table plan."

In the evening Karen swapped her cape for a fabulous embellished jacket ready for dancing. The couple didn't want to possess a traditional first dance, so instead decided on a song that everybody could get up and join along with – Everybody Dance by Chic.

This was performed through the evening band, who's a Chic and Nile Rogers tribute!

"We loved every part during the day, however, it goes so quickly! It was so lovely to possess all our favorite people in one location to celebrate around."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"It's never too soon to start making and purchasing things for the marriage, the greater this you can before the last month, you'll be able to sit back, relax and revel in."

A Handmade + Jewel-Toned London Wedding

George wore an attractive 1940s-style tea wedding dresses inside a delicate oyster pink shade. I also love the tulle illusion cutaway in the waistline, too – George looked incredible.

"I'd seen it online and merely loved the silhouette and vintage feel. I kept coming back to it also it was the first I tried on. It also felt very 'me' and extremely suited to our city wedding and plans during the day. I could eat, drink and dance through the night in it!"

Michael wore a deep blue suit from having a white shirt and bright pink tie.

"Michael's mum made the pocket squares for that groomsmen and groom, that have been lovely."

George made her very own bouquet using silk flowers in vibrant jewel colors – rich reds and purples and deep pinks.

"It was one of the most fun things I did within the lead-up. I bought lots of flowers in our colors and watched a YouTube tutorial for ideas! I am pleased using the results also it now sits proudly on our bookcase."

"I loved Michael's reaction to the 'surprise song' I arranged at the end of our ceremony. A friend sang and played 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You' around the Ukulele and also the congregation had song sheets to participate. This is his favorite song (as well as his football team's song!) and he'd desired to include it, but I'd said no. Little did he know!"

On hand to capture all of the bold color and joy from the day was, also it's great to become able to share her lovely use with you all for that first time here.

"Amy-Rose was amazing; she fitted in immediately and extremely got to one's heart of our day. I'd say she captured the essence of it naturally and spontaneously. We have a lot of fantastic shots of people and our guests using a total blast and she or he captured a lot of special 'moments' that people have missed otherwise."

"Many of our guests thought she was one of our friends and we're still in contact today. I'd recommend her to everyone…Amy-Rose seemed to be flexible and adapted completely to the needs. She answered all of our questions and was responsive both within the lead-up and around the day."

"I think the photos speak on their own! When she described our day like a 'romantic riot' I think she first got it to spot on and took the photos to complement."

After drinks and snacks, it had been time to take a seat for a pie and mash feast, and George and Michael had taken time before the wedding to taste and select the flavors they desired to serve.

After dinner, cake and speeches it had been time to go over to the evening party venue, the in Islington. George and Michael chose Yazoo's Only You for or her first dance together, which was then interrupted halfway through by their live band playing Crazy In Love!

"For anyone considering it – live music is the very best! I can't imagine lacking them now. They even rehearsed a unique surprise song that Michael performed. It would be a brilliant moment! This was then a DJ late into the night."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Do something personal which represents both individuals and enjoy it! It'll be over before very long. If you have willing family and friends – don't hesitate to ask for their help! People love being involved also it makes this type of difference."

A Fun and Magical Woodland Wedding

Meet Katie, a Senior Creative, and Alastair, a Carpenter. They were married on 15 September 2018 in the Cairngorms, Scotland, exchanging their vows around the shores of Loch Garten.

"My bridesmaid dresses wore their very own dresses. I gave them a color and allow them to pick their very own dresses. Considering all of them live at different ends of the nation they did this kind of amazing job!"

"I wasn't someone who dreamed about my wedding gown since I was young, so I struggled using what direction I wanted to get in. I didn't even think I wanted a marriage dress in the beginning. I was looking to find 'the main one' but found the option a bit overwhelming…"

"At a little 5'1 it's tough to imagine exactly what the dress will, in reality, look like as it pertains back in your size, but FeelTimes were amazing. They had plenty of really different styles that I loved however when I put around the dress I did end up receiving I knew it had been the one! Choosing a dress six months in advance though did make me doubt my decision… around the day I loved it such as the first time I use it again."

Alastair wore an incredible dove grey three-piece vintage suit having a knitted tie in an attractive teal color. He also wore personalized socks gifted to him by Katie around the morning of the wedding.

"We met at Sheffield University 13 years back and got together five years later in London. We got engaged whilst on a camping trip in Switzerland. On an epic walk, he got recorded on one knee and I nearly were built with a heart attack."

"Alastair always said he didn't want to get married but then apparently he changed his mind 5 years back and didn't wish to tell me 'in case I was expecting it' – which I certainly was not!”

After the ceremony, there is time for games, confetti, drinks, and delicious canapes produced by – ham hock, apricot, and mint rillettes, smoked haddock ceviche with ginger, chili, and coriander, and cauliflower pakoras with mint and cucumber yogurt.

"We went for English sparkling wine from for that drinks reception and served it alongside Bristol's amazing beer – the beer was an Amber ale called In The Pines, that was perfect for that setting!"

"We didn't possess a sweet cake but went for any cheesecake. Rosie, the founder helped us come up with a delicious tier of cheeses in the South West. We went for mostly goat's and ewe's cheeses and served all of them with homemade chutneys by Katie's Aunty Sue and our favorite Nairn's oatcakes and Peter's Yard crackers."

"Wine was vital too. We sourced all of our very own wine and went for those organic, minimum intervention wines from small, independent vineyards. We got our dark wine through Sam at and our English white wine."

"Our favorite moments were seeing each other for that first time down through the loch. And turning around to see our guests gathered around us in the loch."

"We also really enjoyed the morning from the wedding. We decided to stay together the night time before and also got up together to possess breakfast and give one another a gift in the morning before getting ready with these groomsmen and bridesmaids. It was this type of relaxed morning and also the sun was shining following the days leading up to pouring rain. Our closest friends were staying in the main houses which we loved! We had our very own little one-bed cottage in Little Dell so that people could also get away from everything."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't hesitate to delegate! People love to become part of the plans and prep. But don't overwork them either… and ensure you thank everyone who did play their part."

A Feminist Wedding having a Barn Full of Fairy Lights

Katy, a charity lawyer, wed engineer Richon on 14 August 2018 near Bristol, having a Tythe barn reception in the same village.

The couple used their belief in equality along with a desire to keep things relaxed and casual as a starting point for wedding ceremony planning, thinking deeply about which traditions to incorporate. For styling, the gorgeous, lush countryside was their inspiration, so leaves, flowers, and fairy lights played many in dressing the naturally-beautiful venue.

"I loved how unstructured and uncomplicated my dress was, however, the slit sleeves were just unusual enough to provide it a little of a 'wow'. Although it appears glam you simply pull it on over your head: no buttons, no messing. It has an elasticated waist, so no restriction there either. As soon as I use it, I felt free and easy but dressed up, that is exactly what I wanted."

"The dress usually comes having a train which I loved, but as I planned to bop all night I was worried someone would get up on it and I'd find myself in my pants around the dance floor. So Minna made one with no train for me. Given just how much I wound up dancing, this would be a good call."

When the time came, Katy, her mum, and her bridesmaids walked with the village towards the chapel. Katy entered around the arm of her mum.

"A few individuals asked me why my buddy or my grandad didn't walk me on the aisle. The truth is – I love them both greatly – however, they didn't raise me. The only reason I'd be asking these phones do it could be because these were men… and like a committed feminist, that didn't sit quite right beside me, or Rich."

For much more casual, relaxed vibes, the bride is to be treated herself to some pair of mustard-yellow for your day, perfect for that farm setting.

The four grown-up bridesmaids all looked elegant in pale turquoise, midi-length wrap dresses.

"They each chose their very own shoes. I wanted all of them to feel at ease and, as these were all in matching prom dresses, I wanted all of them to be able to create themselves just how they wanted."

Katy and Rich met on the night out 5 years ago and today live together in Bristol.

"We noticed each other around the dance floor of the Mr. Scruff DJ occur Bristol. At the time, Rich lived in Swansea but after around three months people did the long(ish) distance thing he went to live in Bristol. We were engaged for any little under annually: Rich proposed on vacation the autumn before we've got married."

These beautiful photographs convey the general casual, relaxed vibe are from. I'm so pleased to hear that Katy found her, inside a roundabout way, through this website.

"We loved the appearance of Jo's photos in the get-go, and virtually within 5 minutes of speaking with her knew that they'd be perfect. I've always struggled with self-confidence, particularly about my skin and general appearance, and Jo instantly put me comfortable."

"She is very kind and right down to earth, we knew we'd maintain good hands. On your day itself, she was amazing – she mixed so effortlessly with all our friends and family, and was easy-going and right down to earth. She made all of us laugh loads, which you can see the evidence of within the photos."

Katy and Rich had this type of a great time they found it impossible to choose a favorite moment from your day.

“I realize it sounds cheesy however the whole day only agreed to be perfect to us. We had a complete ball, it felt free and simple and I’ve never laughed a lot. It just felt so overwhelming to possess all the people we care about most around us for any whole day.”

Katy chose to provide a speech instead from the groom, a minute she loved.

"Even though I am incredibly nervous about doing the work, I enjoyed giving my speech. Looking out onto all of our friends' and families' faces is one thing I'll always remember. And the rush when it had been all over and I could relax a little more was pretty great too."

"Having a fast/upbeat song worked very well for us – we just flung each other around the dance floor and laughed the entire time. We were so awkward, but honestly, that simply made it all of the more fun. It underlined why Rich is my absolute favorite person – we're both pretty shy, but somehow manage to complete random fun things and possess the time in our lives together."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"I realize it might be easier said than done, but my biggest piece of advice could be to just relax and enjoy the planning and your day. And to not get stressed out concerning the details."

"In reality, so long as you turn up, and also you give your friends and relatives food and drink, most people are going to possess a great day. So simply do what makes you content!"

A Celestial Inspired Winter Solstice Wedding

Today's couple Saskia and Scott don't do things by halves. They decided on a week after moving out of the flat in London and quitting their jobs because of the date for her wedding before they went to live in Katmandu in Nepal in which the bride happens to be writing a magazine and the groom volunteering being an engineer. They chose the Cotswolds because of the venue and also the wedding dresses that happened one clear winter day on 21st December 2018.

"We started searching for a rustic venue that will work well for any winter wedding. As soon as we had Cripps Barn we fell deeply in love with it. It has this type of large and warm barn space that felt just like a really good size for that number of people I was having and also the light was fantastic!"

"I decided on a long-sleeved beaded gown to wear. I'd always thought I wanted a boho, floaty dress for my big day, however, the dress I wound up wearing was completely different from my primary image of the 'dream dress'."

"It is different actually, that after I first viewed it in the shop, I didn't even would like to try it on. My sister eventually helped me try it and I'm so glad she did. Once on, I loved all of the detailing and also the fit in particular. It looked a lot better on me compared to the dress I’d always imagined myself wearing."

"I gifted my bridesmaids a necklace each, which had their initials and birthstones as pendants, and also the flower girls wore traditional dresses."

"We used Beth as our florist. We desired to keep it fairly simple so we opted for a lot of local winter greenery within the barn. In my bouquet, I decided on a few wildflowers that are offered in winter, including thistle and eucalyptus."

The ceremonial barn was adorned with beautiful rustic hanging greenery, foliage backdrops, festoon lights, and pillar candles, developing a truly stunning and 'wow' setting for that ceremony.

The bridesmaid bouquets complimented the brides and were full of bright greenery and also the buttonholes appeared as if mini versions of the bridal bouquet. There was additionally a roaring fire burning throughout the ceremony which set the cozy, romantic, and wintry tone for that day.

Nervously awaiting his bride in the end from the aisle was groom Scott inside a 3-piece grey and black tweed suit, accessorized having a green tie, a bespoke shirt, as well as an engraved pocket watch Saskia, gifted him around the morning of the wedding.

The bride also recruited Winchester and Hampshire-based wedding photographers to capture their big day on camera after her very own sister, additionally, a wedding photographer was trained by her.

"Even whether it wasn't for that close association, we'd have always gone for Angela as our photographer. She's this type of great person along with a bloody amazing photographer!"

"We thought our favorite part of the day will be the party following the ceremony, however, it wound up being the ceremony itself. It was so special and emotional."

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

"Much just like a marriage, I think planning for a wedding ought to be a team effort using the groom involved too. I think it's a lot nicer to create decisions like a pair as it feels just like a special day for both individuals."

A Wiltshire Farm Wedding

Stacey and Ally married on 1 September 2018 within the wonderfully rural Tisbury, Wiltshire. This blank canvas venue provided an attractive countryside backdrop for his or her wedding weekend and outdoor ceremony. With a concentrate on fun and relaxation, your day was styled with a lot of lush foliage, pastel summer flowers, and areas for that couple as well as their guests to relax and relax.

I'm this type of fan of the sharply-defined illusion lace and love the flirty feel of the spaghetti straps and floating skirt.

"I was looking for any dress that will compliment my body system shape (I am very short but I have curves!) but which wouldn't restrict me and would fit using the relaxed feel of your day."

"This gown was perfect because the bodice had structure and definition whilst the skirt was floaty and relaxed so I could move effortlessly. I fell deeply in love with the gorgeous bodice, that was 3D illusion lace having a hidden corset."

"I didn't wear a veil as I never felt comfortable in a single. Instead, I opted for any relaxed up-do with fresh flowers. I am so happy I chose both Amelia and Elle. Not only were they great at the things they were doing but they were such lovely, fun people to possess around the morning from the wedding. I was within the moon with both my hair and make-up as I felt like I still appeared as if me, that was so important in my experience."

I enjoy the unusual buttonholes which feature such dainty white flowers from the pastel lavender and wheat. They look fantastic from the deep blue of the men's suits. Ally's would be a three-piece suit, worn having a tailored white shirt, oxblood shoes along with a silver-grey tie.

"There was no particular theme however the main thing was ensuring our guests were relaxed, comfortable, entertained, and well-fed which would be a great party! This fed into the styling once we wanted to ensure there have been plenty of fun items to see and do plenty of comfy places to sit down, and great food and music!"

The couple happen to be together since their university years and changed their marbles from their original destination wedding idea.

"We met during our this past year studying at Bournemouth University. Unfortunately, there is no romantic 'our eyes met over the lecture hall' moment; in typical university fashion we met on a drunken particular date with mutual friends. However, the next first evening I was inseparable and a month later we declared our love for one another."

The bridesmaid dresses looked fresh and ethereal in silvery grey gowns. The girls' bouquets and flower wands, a riot of pink and cream blooms triggered by gorgeously fresh foliage, were by in Bristol.

As well as three older bridesmaids, Stacey was combined with four flower girls, and don't they appear adorable within their dainty tutus?

"We got legally married in Bristol a couple of weeks before so that we're able to completely personalize our ceremony. We asked my grandfather to conduct the ceremony and he did probably the most incredible job. It was so, so special to possess him there performing the ceremony for all of us."

The newlyweds were lucky enough to possess their wedding breakfast outside, with BBQ food proving an ideal choice. The Farm's barns have there been in case of poor weather, though, and were well suited for housing the marriage cake and also the evening party.

"We hired the ice-cream trike for everyone's dessert which would be a selection of Marshfield Farm ice creams, including salted caramel, chocolate fudge brownie, raspberry ripple pavlova, and mint choc chip."

"In the evening I was entertained by a covers band from Bristol, made much more special through the fact that our friend (and my bridesmaid's husband) may be the lead guitarist. After the band finished we were built with a silent disco. Everyone loved it which was once the party started. It was great fun to become able to help keep everyone pleased with different music genres, and also to seek out those around the dance floor who have been listening to the same songs!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Try to savor the planning process and accept help – people wouldn't offer when they didn't want to also it's special to possess your loved ones to contribute something to your day."

A Backless Gown, Infusing Greek, and Portuguese Style

Meet our couple, Sally, who works best for EY, taking care of one of their graduate programs, and Zac, who works best for the Bank of England. They were married on 26 May 2018 in Frensham, Surrey; a beautifully restored barn venue having a light, contemporary feel.

"We chose to style the marriage around our heritage. Although greatly born and raised in London, Zac is half Greek and half Portuguese, therefore we had elements to entwine this, alongside my super English heritage! This featured throughout our stationery suite, with Greek olive branches, Portuguese tiles, and English peonies."

Sally finds the old Hollywood glamour in the backless, cowl neck 'Iona' dress, together with having a simple, classic veil. I love the facts on this dress – elegant, subtle Art Deco scalloped detailing in the waist and back.

"It was beautiful! I didn't think I'd choose something so slinky; I had plenty of lace in my mind, however, it just felt so right when I used it on. The open back, the incredible fit, and also the delicate detailing were all just perfect."

The bridesmaid dresses wore the aptly named 'Mykonos' dress, inside a concrete shade, through the brilliant.

Loved ones gathered within the garden at Millbridge Court, to have an outdoor ceremony in front of the venue's lovely, rustic arbor adorned with flowers and foliage.

Sally and her dad walked down the aisle together, towards the classical piece, Canon in D by Pachelbel, among several favorite moments of the day.

"Even though I was breathing heavily and nervous, it had been just the most incredible moment, holding my father close, and seeing my husband-to-be smiling wider than in the past."

"Zac and I met around the graduate scheme that I now help run in September 2011. We're both proper Londoners who bonded over tequila and indie music; a workplace romance, which grew legs quickly. He proposed within the September of 2016 whilst in Devon, overlooking the sea on the clifftop walk."

Everyone enjoyed drinks outside in the sunshine, following a ceremony, with live acoustic music from the trio. This was another favorite part of a brilliant day for Sally and Zac.

"The drinks reception – it was the bit I was mostly getting excited about, also it was brilliant. Wandering Hands were so entertaining and moved about our guests, fulfilling their requests. Lots of congratulations, hugs, and bubbles."

After an excellent meal, and touching speeches, a cocktail hour had arrived. Sally and Zac each had 'his and hers' cocktails for family members to enjoy – pomegranate fizz for Sally, and rum Old Fashioned for Zac.

"Our first dance was Eric Clapton – Wonderful Tonight. We just like it, also it's meant a lot to us for a long time. My uncle also loves Clapton, and my uncle means a lot to me, so it had been a little extra nod to him, that they loved."

Cocktails were followed by lots of dancing, with DJ getting everybody up and to the dancefloor.

"Being carried off towards the lodge at the end of the evening was another favorite moment – and achieving leftover cake within the roll-top bath before the early hours."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"About doing things differently – the only real tiny thing I'd change is fitting in throwing the bouquet. Time flew by and we missed it. Otherwise, it had been perfection!"

An Enchanting French Chateau Wedding

Newlyweds Heather and William were married on 8th September 2018 in the fairytale located within the Dordogne Valley of France.

"We wanted something authentic and lots of the venues we checked out in California made us feel like our wedding would certainly be a part of a production line."

"It rained yesterday at the wedding dresses therefore the greens were so vibrant, roses were climbing in the château walls and apples were falling in the trees. I'm also inspired by fairy tales, art nouveau, and Caravaggio's paintings. We desired to create a convivial vibe by having an abundance of food and wine! We both love the 1940s and curated a wonderful playlist for that weekend."

"William and I first met at the office and after a little flirting, the remainder, as they say, is history! William surprised me using the proposal one Christmas whenever we took a spontaneous walk around the beach in Santa Monica. It was the very best Christmas gift! We were engaged for any year and 9 months before getting married."

"I knew, in the beginning, I wanted Juliet sleeves and an intimate a-line style dress, however, it wasn't until we found our venue that I knew precisely what I wanted."

"I fell in love with the ivory-colored dress with embroidered flowers along with a sweetheart cut. It reminded me of Belle’s dress yourself in Beauty and also the Beast. I had the seamstress add detachable sleeves as well as lowered the back of the gown into a V contour making it unique. Then I took the sleeves off for the waltz later on within the night!"

"I borrowed an easy cathedral length veil from a good friend and wore my mum's wedding shoes from 1978 along with a pair of simple diamond drop earrings."

Heather's bridesmaids looked stunning in full-length mismatched peach and pink dresses, accessorized with gorgeous little handfuls of blooms developed.

"I knew I wanted something small, organic-looking, as though I had picked wildflowers inside a field. I loved the soft palette of pinks, a little bit of yellow, and pops of crimson. The deep red roses were to symbolize Beauty and also the Beast. Agnes also made a thorny arch for that ceremony made from red roses accumulating one side from it."

"My dad accompanied me on the aisle and cried the entire way down! I don't think it helped when he explained to me that I'd continually be his young girl right before we started walking. The wedding party walked on the aisle towards the main theme tune in the movie Chocolat, a part of which was filmed within the Dordogne region."

"My dad and I then walked down towards the opening music from Ever After, which was also filmed just a couple minutes from our venue!"

In keeping using the romantic and chic theme, your daughter's groom chose a grey double-breasted suit, accessorized having a crisp white shirt and straightforward grey tie.

"For our decor in the venue, we desired to incorporate the subtle Beauty and also the Beast touches. At dinner, we used stacks of vintage books and brass candlesticks running on the long tables. Ajna found an incredible old clock that looked much like Cogsworth along with a candelabra as Lumiere."

"One of my favorite moments looking back around the day was during dinner, sitting at the long rustic table under twinkle lights. At sunset, I was surprised by three wild horses galloping in the meadow."

"It couldn't have been more magical! It was additionally a new moon and we had a meteor shower the night time of the marriage, therefore the stars were incredibly bright. We lay within the meadow until 6 am watching them!"

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

"Spend lots of time caring for your ceremony and don't save it before the last month of planning. We edited precisely what we wanted our officiant to express and did our vows like a couple. Every Sunday we'd sit at the dinner table and discuss love and our relationship. We learned a lot about each other during the process!"
